I feel productive lately. This is good, because I'd feared that after I graduated, I wouldn't have the time or the inclination to do anything artistic. Something happened to boost my desire to increase my output recently, too- one of the big official university people came to my grad show back in May, and was very impressed with some of the work. He wants to mount an exhibit in the main university building, including one or a couple of my pieces!
I'm going downtown to meet with him and the building administrator next week to arrange the logistics of the exhibit. I believe my friend Laura was the other person they approached. The art department administrator is going to be there to represent our interests (security of the art, preservation issues, etc.) but if all goes well the uni will have some of my work on long-term loan. Yay!

I know I haven't submitted anything in months...but look forward to a huge art dump at the end of this semester, I guess. 1000 pageviews seems to be a big milestone, and look, I'm only a few away! Maybe someone will capture it. ^^
2 weeks until my 23rd birthday. Man, I feel *old*.

Midterms are almost over! Whoo! I'll have some time to do random fun stuff that's been on hold for a while, finally!

I have painting and photo crits Monday and Tuesday. Ugh. I have to finish them up this weekend...hopefully they will be done on time.

Not much else to report. Gotta go study for my English exam.

Welp, that giant 4x6 piece is finally up. The photo quality isn't that great, so I am a little annoyed that some textures and details don't show up, but you get the general idea. ^^

I absolutely love leafing through National Geographics from the 70's for source pictures! I don't know what kind of film they used then, but it lends itself so well to painting! It's great. But am I ever glad I got it up- it's one of my favourite pieces. I do hope I get lots of feedback on it. I have some closeup pictures with funny stories to go with them, that i really should put up as well.

Well, friend hasn't sent me the pics she took of my paintings yet, from April. So I emailed her...don't know if she'll get it. So I need to either borrow someone's digital camera or rob a bank and buy one myself. If only I had a reply from any of the summer jobs I applied to. Sigh.

In the interim, I posted a pithy icon to tide myself over. heh. ^^
